Industry Cases
Automotive
Development-phase parts: interior and exterior validation parts, brackets, fixtures and gauges, delivered to drawing tolerance with inspection records.
What we take on is development-phase work
Series supply to the automotive industry carries a whole framework of system requirements. This page describes prototypes, brackets, fixtures and gauges for development and validation, not series part supply.
On system certification: this page claims no automotive quality-system certification. If your project requires specific supplier accreditation, raise it at enquiry stage so we can answer honestly, rather than discovering a mismatch after award. (To be confirmed: any certification the company actually holds must come from the certificates supplied by the business.)
What matters in development
Whether parts can be delivered to drawing tolerance with a clear account of what was measured. Automotive drawings are usually fully toleranced with explicit datums; we inspect against that datum scheme and supply the records, so your engineer can judge directly whether this revision is fit for vehicle-level validation.
The other common need is assembly fixtures and gauges, which typically demand higher accuracy than the parts they check and therefore get their own machining and inspection plan.
Why Us
Inspection to the drawing datums
Measured against the datum scheme as drawn, with records delivered alongside the parts.
Separate plan for fixtures and gauges
Tooling that must be more accurate than the product gets its own process and inspection plan.
Revisions on file
Process and inspection records are kept per revision so issues can be traced to a version.
Honest answers on accreditation
Raise system requirements at enquiry; we state our limits plainly rather than accepting ambiguously.
Forming Processes
CNC machining
Brackets, structural validation parts, fixture and gauge bodies.
Sheet metal
Brackets and shields — thin-sheet parts.
3D printing
Styling and ergonomic checks, assembly interference checks.
Vacuum casting
Small batches of interior and exterior validation parts without tooling.
Surface Finishes
Painting
Trim validation parts to a specified colour and gloss level.
Anodising
Aluminium brackets and tooling bodies.
Black oxide
Steel tooling — rust protection with negligible dimensional change.
Grain / texture
Surface texture simulation on appearance parts (supply the grain reference).
